It has been a rather exciting few weeks.... We are finding out more often that the area we serve in has very unique challenges, often times we have to say goodbye to many people that are just passing through the church and the island, however, we are finding out also that it is an incredible opportunity to be a home away from home for many internationals. This is a place that they can learn and grow in Christ and be sent out all over the world (literally) to impact their world. It can be difficult at times but it is worth it to know that the Gospel can be spread through our little area of influence. It has been filled with saying goodbye to great friends moving back to their home country, saying goodbye to friends going on holiday for the summer (European vacations can typically last for 2 months), and not saying goodbye to the missionaries we serve under. Steve and Dawn Robertson were supposed to return to the United States for itineration (the process missionaries go through to visit churches and raise funds) but because of a few complications with their residency cards, they will remain here until the issue is resolved, so please pray for them as they go through this difficult time and pray that they find favor with the government. The church has been preparing for a two week Spain-wide evangelism project. The first week, each church trains each member of their congregation to evangelize in the way that is most effective for their area of influence. The second week they put into practice what they had been taught. WE now have a Video Blog update on our YouTube channel: Journey With The Lewens. Click HERE to view our latest Vlog.
