The Canary Islands

Picture
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain

Home to nearly half a million people, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has a  very diverse population.
Known historically as part of a traditionally Catholic nation (Spain), the island of Gran Canaria
has now become home to people from all over the world,  many of whom speak different
languages
and believe in different faiths. It is common to meet people from all over Europe,
Asia and the Middle East
as well as the continents of Africa and The Americas.
It is a city rich with heritage and tradition.  But it is also a city filled with people who
have not yet heard the Gospel for the first time.

Take a look around the island.
On  the  island,  the  population  is close to  850,000 people.
In the city we serve, Las Palmas, there are close to 400,000.
